Fires: Early Saturday morning, someone set fire to our chapel. Luckily the youth were meeting there early, so the firemen got to it before major damage happened, but there is severe smoke and heat damage, so we will be meeting at another building for about 6 months they think. Yikes! Another chaple close to ours was burned a lot worse, and a vacant house nearby was also set on fire.
Floods: This morning we awoke to our neighbor's toilet water leaking down through the ceiling into our bathroom. Fun! This has happened before. And our fridge stopped working for the third time so all our food went bad. And when it rains a lot the plaster on top of our window falls down and makes a big mess. We are excited to one day move from our cute little apartment.
Earth: At my work there is a costume contest each year for group costumes. The social workers decided to be planets! Several hours and lots of paper mache later I made Earth:

Jacob did an excellent job drawing the land on my earth. Yes, we really are that dorky in my office, but we have so much fun!
We went to the ward Trunk or Treat as a scary lumberjack, and...a lumberjack's wife.

Laura, you cut your hair! It looks adorable. Seriously. So cute. I like your earth costume. And Jacob IS a scary lumberjack. But it's not because of the scary face...it's the beard. Scary.
