Summer is here in full swing. Dripping, sweaty, scorching summer. I'm not talking about outside- I'm talking about inside. Our apartment. We can't cool it down. I take a lot of cold showers. And eat a lot of cold cereal. And we've even resorted to...sleeping in our living room? Yep, that's where our air conditioning unit is, so that's the only place we can fall asleep. We do have a fan, but we (I) don't want to throw down the money for another air conditioner for a place we might not be in for much longer.
Jacob has devoted himself to his studies this summer and I am proud of him. He's taking math. Gross. I am lucky that I never had to take math in college! While he's doing algebraic equations, I can be found at water aerobics or crafting. I went a couple of weeks there where I was obsessed with knitting. Obsessed. I think the phase has passed and I am more rational about it now, but I managed to make this in the meantime:
A baby sweater! It was fun to make.
I also made an apron for Jacob. My dad asked if I was trying to send a message with this gift, because an apron can imply certain things. I wasn't trying to send a message, but if Jacob would like to infer that I wouldn't mind if he tried out a few recipes now and then, that would be okay.
My new project will be something mysterious-
- with this brown fabric!
It seems like we need a trip to Vegas to escape the heat!
I love the sweater and the apron. I haven't knitted for a long time but I have crocheted lately. Maybe I will have to do a knitting project to see if i still can.
ReplyDeleteThe projects look great! Congrats to Jacob for his hard work this summer!

ReplyDeleteYou're funny.
ReplyDeleteI think you should make a little baby dress with your fabric...for your FUTURE baby.
You are super talented! I've tried to knit before and I just can't seem to get it right. :D That is the cutest little baby sweater I've ever seen!
