Halloween

Happy Halloween! And happy first anniversary to me and Jacob. Today is the anniversary of our fist date. We carved pumpkins for our date and then later went to a party with some people in our ward. Last year we dressed up as a cowgirl and a newsie. While carving pumpkins Jacob and I discussed what we were going to dress up as. I said I was going to be a cowgirl but needed a hat. I asked him if he had a cowboy hat I could use. He said he thought he had some at his house. I thought that was nice. He came back later with two hats, both of which were girly cowboy hats. I thought it was slightly suspicious that he had two cowgirl hats at his house, but I didn’t say anything about it. Here is our picture from last year:

This year we decided to do something unique and totally different for our costumes:

We went to our ward's Trunk or Treat party, where we ate the world’s spiciest chili and then tried to sneak out of the parking lot without running over any trunk or treaters.

P.S. I was right to be suspicious about the hats. Jacob went to D.I. and bought two cowgirl hats after I asked him, knowing he didn't have any at his house. He was trying to impress me...I guess it worked :)

  1. We look so much more comfortable with each other in the second picture, its as if we have been together for a long time or something.

You have gotten hotter over the last year!!

  2. You are about 3 inches closer to each other in the second picture...but it's okay because you're married. That's cute that he went to D.I and got you hats.

I wish we lived closer. I like you guys a lot.

    Happy Anniversary!

  3. I like the humor that is created by juxtaposing the two pictures and throwing in a little comment about going all out. I laughed out loud.

Looking forward to more frequent posts.

  4. You are so lucky Jacob that you now have Laura to write blogs with you. We will hear from you more often no doubt. Actually I have Zach to write posts for me so I guess I am lucky too!
